ICU Visit #3 - Breathing tube is out now
They asked us to give them about 20 minutes to see if they can test him more to determine if the tube can out.
It's been about 30 minutes, and Alice and Carolyn just went down to see him. They called us and said that they did, in fact, take the breathing tube out. He's breathing on his own now. Excellent. I'm sure that's much more comfortable for him now.
Dad - you're doing a great job. You'll be sitting up tomorrow. And in a few days walking around, and even could be checked out of here possibly by Friday. Jerry and I are sitting here thinking how totally amazing that is.

To the Grous Children
I just want you to know that you are a "Tribute" to your parents (one definition of Tribute is something that is indicative of a value, benefit, or good quality in somebody or something) We will be happy to remind them, whenever an opportunity arises, that you were all by his side when he needed you.
Love to all Aunt Maureen (I know I am not really your Aunt but I make claim to that title because it feels right to me).

Sniff, sniff. Stop it. You're going to make me cry or something.
We were very forturnate to have not one, but two, excellent parents. They are the parents we strive to be like.
And, please, you will always, always be our AUNT Maureen and UNCLE Gil. Don't ever forget that.
Thanks for keeping up to date by reading and commenting in the blog. Ok, time to write another post.

You're not our aunt? Next thing you're probably going to tell us is that Santa Claus is not real!
Thanks for the kind words and being a great Aunt and Uncle all these years! Dad needs to get back on his feet so you can resume your get-togethers.
